1. Acceptance of Terms

This website and the Aventerra application are provided by Simon Villiard, a sole proprietor based in Drummondville, Quebec, doing business as "Aventerra" ("we", "us", "Aventerra"). Aventerra is not currently incorporated.

By accessing this website or using the Aventerra application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Aventerra provides terrain intelligence, slope analysis, offline mapping, and group-safety tools designed to assist backcountry travelers. The service is currently in pre-launch; features described on this website are subject to change.

3. Important Safety Disclaimer

Aventerra is a decision-support tool, not a substitute for proper backcountry training, experience, or judgment.

Backcountry travel involves serious risks including avalanche, exposure, and injury. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of your group.

Always check official avalanche forecasts from your regional avalanche centre, travel with trained partners, and carry appropriate rescue equipment. No app can eliminate the risks of backcountry travel.

4. Waitlist

By joining the early access waitlist, you consent to receive a one-time notification email when Aventerra launches in your region. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting support@aventerra.app.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and within the Aventerra app, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Aventerra and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aventerra shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any damages resulting from reliance on information provided by the app during backcountry travel.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
